Hi JB, My name is Heather Stewart. I work as Biodiversity Officer for Cardinia Shire. I am making a small brochure for our residents who live near a native grassland reserve in Pakenham. They are worried about snakes and many do not know much about native grassland. I love your photos of the Drosera with a bug on it! What a one in a million photo. Can you please let me know whether you would allow us to use the photo? If so please reply to this post or email me at h.stewart@cardinia.vic.gov.au
This blog is a simple collection of photos from the area affected by the Black Saturday bushfire 2009. The aim is to document how the natural environment is recovering and the diversity of species that are re-appearing. Please leave a comment if you find errors with identification or can put a name to some of the photos I haven't been able to identify.
Photos are taken using a compact camera and often with very little time so they may not always be perfectly in focus but I have included them in the hope that someone may be able to help with an ID.
This one looks like subsp. peltata (hairy sepals)!
ReplyDeleteThanks Russell, Changed the name.
